Almost, every profession depends upon geography, education and work experience when it comes to a firm career building. In short, all of these factors play an important role in determining salary expectations in every field. According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average surgical tech salary is roughly 41,000; quite impressive I must say! Nevertheless, with increasing competence and professionalism, this increased to roughly $43,000 by the end of last year. It must be noticed that this was an average salary was a professional in the field. Whereas, the pay scales differ according to the geographical significance; meaning, the medical centers in the urban areas pay far less than a busy private or government clinic/hospital in the urban area. Depending upon the living costs, the rents, food and other facilities in the cities and towns, the increased pay scale seems to be pretty much justified. It is also possible to experience swift career advancement in the field which will increase your salary expectations in the cities specifically but the professionals working in the rural areas are more encourage and given additional incentives. This is due to the fact that a majority wants to be a part of the herd rather than working alone in some rural population.
