When I went to the university ten years ago, I learned Koine Greek as part of a degree in religious studies. My boss must have thought that meant I could go to Greece today for a business trip and move around like a native, but he’s wrong. Koine is a dead form of Greek. Nonetheless, I had to move quickly to learn how to speak Greek or I was going to find myself in trouble during the extended business trip. I went online and looked up learn greek to see if a site existed that could teach this language in an effective way. The result was quite positive. I already knew the alphabet and many of the sounds, so that definitely helped, but the site built on my previous knowledge in a way that had me speaking the language very quickly. I’ll still stand out in a crowd of Greeks, obviously, but I’m quite confident that I won’t have trouble getting around!

If you have ever thought about how to teach english overseas, it is much easier than you might think. Many of the English teaching jobs overseas require nothing more than being a native English speaker and to have a Bachelor’s Degree. That is the basic requirement. That and a desire to teach others. Learning Spanish language is not as easy as some would have you believe.

There are many programmes available which make incredible promises to teach the Spanish language rapidly.

Maybe they can but nothing at all will happen unless the learner undertakes to learn conscientiously and methodically a little each day.

Many courses are incredibly well designed but unless they are un boxed and used each day there is too much to a language to hope that the vastness of it can be absorbed without regular input.

One of the surprises that lays in store for the Spanish language learner is what they will learn about their own grammar, which is so often overlooked in our own educational system.

Constructing phrases and sentences in a second language requires the learner to really think about the tenses and moods that are needed. As a native speaker we rarely think about those considerations as we speak naturally.

Some people prefer to study Spanish by themselves. It is an easy language to study and most people would eventually learn them even on their own. Even though many people see this situation possible, many of them still choose to study the language in a university in Mexico for some reasons. Self-studying is great idea, but studying in a university in Mexico has some advantage. To learn Spanish in Mexico means that you must go to the place and stay there for the duration of your study. A lot of people would find this as an advantage since they will have a full grasp on the country’s culture which is highly influenced by Spain. If fluency of the language is a concern, students could practice their learned language at school while conversing with the people in the community. It is a good way to practice the language and to master them quickly. These are some of the reasons why most people still choose to study the Spanish language in Mexico.
